About Carol
Kwiatkowski
Carol Emptage Kwiatkowski,
“Mrs. K”, began her teaching career at Bedford
High School in 1962. Carol passed away in 2005, following
her retirement from Bedford High School in 2000. She directed
and produced the high school musicals and plays for twenty
years. Her community theatre involvement included The Village
Players, The Toledo Repertoire Theatre and The Bedford Community
Players, where she donated her time and talents to direct,
produce, usher, house manage, tend to concessions, stage manage,
and act. Carol’s creativity kept her “right brained”
students highly stimulated. When Carol retired, a huge void
plagued Bedford and “The Little Theatre”, now
known as the Carol Emptage Kwiatkowski Theatre. Carol was
best known as the “theater mom” to the Bedford
Stage. She is an Honorary International Thespian Society member
and will always be listed as an “Angel” in the
Bedford Theatre Arts program.
