1982 was the 1st production of the Bedford Players. Five members of the community joined together with Bedford Community Education to produce the musical, Li'l Abner. John & Dottie Zimmerman, Gayle Phebus, Dave Frechette & Deb Brescol were the Founding Members. Deb is now the only surviving member of this group. Bedford Players was later changed to Bedford Community Players (BCP) to better reflect the connection to theatre in the local and surrounding areas. For forty years the group has continued to meet. BCP plans to move forward and strives to bring live theatre to the Bedford Community for years to come.
